Schubert

Franz Schubert was an Austrian composer who lived from 1797 to 1828. He composed over 600 works, including symphonies, chamber music, and vocal compositions. Despite his short life, Schubert made a significant impact on the Romantic era of classical music. Many of his compositions, such as "Ave Maria" and "Unfinished Symphony," remain popular to this day. Schubert's music is known for its lyrical melodies and emotional depth, often reflecting his own personal struggles. He was often surrounded by a circle of friends who would gather for musical evenings, called Schubertiades, where he would perform his latest works. Schubert's talent was recognized by his contemporaries, but he only gained significant recognition after his death. Today, he is considered one of the greatest composers in the history of Western music, alongside the likes of Mozart, Beethoven, and Bach.
