The Cats

The Cats were a Dutch rock band that gained immense popularity in the 1960s and 1970s. Formed in 1966, the band underwent a few lineup changes before settling on their classic lineup consisting of Cees Veerman (vocals and guitar), Piet Veerman (vocals), Arnold Mühren (bass guitar), Jaap Schilder (guitar), and Theo Klouwer (drums). The Cats achieved significant success with their melodic pop sound, recording numerous hits in the Netherlands and even topping the charts in countries like Germany, Belgium, and South Africa. Notably, their song "One Way Wind" reached number one in Indonesia, a country where they had substantial fan-following. The band disbanded in 1985, leaving behind a rich musical legacy and a long-lasting impact on the Dutch music scene.
