Survivor
Survivor is an American rock band formed in 1977, best known for their hit song "Eye of the Tiger" released in 1982. The band was originally founded as Jim Peterik's Survivor, but later shortened their name. They have sold over 75 million records worldwide, with their music characterized by powerful vocals and catchy guitar riffs. Apart from "Eye of the Tiger," which became the theme song for the movie Rocky III, Survivor also had other notable hits like "Burning Heart" and "High on You." The band went through several personnel changes throughout its history, but Jim Peterik remained a consistent member and key songwriter. Survivor's music is often associated with the melodic rock and arena rock genres, and their distinctive sound has left a lasting impact on the music industry.
