Soul Eater Not!

Soul Eater Not! is a manga series written and illustrated by Atsushi Ohkubo that was serialized from 2011 to 2014. It is a spin-off and prequel to the popular Soul Eater series. Unlike its predecessor, Soul Eater Not! focuses more on slice of life and comedy elements rather than action and battles. The story follows Tsugumi Harudori, a new student at the Death Weapon Meister Academy, who discovers her ability to transform into a weapon. Throughout the series, Tsugumi and her friends navigate their daily lives while training to become Death Scythes. Despite the lighter tone, the series maintains connections to the main Soul Eater storyline and introduces some familiar characters. Soul Eater Not! has also been adapted into an anime series, which aired from April to July 2014, appealing to both manga readers and new fans looking for a fun and engaging spin-off.
