Social Distortion
Social Distortion is an American punk rock band that formed in 1978 in Fullerton, California. Known for their distinctive blend of punk, rockabilly, and country elements, the band was founded by frontman Mike Ness. Social Distortion gained popularity in the 1980s with their self-titled debut album, which featured tracks like "Mommy's Little Monster." Throughout their career, the band faced various lineup changes but eventually solidified with guitarist Jonny Wickersham, bassist Brent Harding, and drummer David Hidalgo Jr. Their breakthrough album, "Social Distortion," was released in 1990, achieving critical acclaim and commercial success. Notably, the band's 1992 single "Bad Luck" became a fan favorite. Over the years, Social Distortion has maintained a loyal following and continued to release albums, including the well-received "White Light, White Heat, White Trash" in 1996 and "Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes" in 2011. With their iconic sound and punk rock ethos, Social Distortion remains an influential and enduring presence in the music scene.
