Sixpence None the Richer
Sixpence None the Richer is an American pop-rock band that was formed in 1992 in New Braunfels, Texas. The group is best known for their hit song "Kiss Me," released in 1998, which propelled them to mainstream success. The band's name, Sixpence None the Richer, was inspired by a passage from C.S. Lewis' book "Mere Christianity." Throughout their career, Sixpence None the Richer has released several albums, including their self-titled album in 1997 and "Divine Discontent" in 2002. Their unique blend of jangly guitars, melodic hooks, and Leigh Nash's distinctive vocals won them a dedicated fanbase. Despite taking a hiatus in 2004, the band reunited in 2007 and continues to perform and release music to this day, with their most recent album, "Lost in Transition," released in 2012.
