Born on October 5, 1955, in Warsaw, Lorenc began his musical journey by studying at the Frederic Chopin Academy of Music. He gained recognition for his compositions in films such as "A Short Film About Love" and "The Double Life of Veronique," which were directed by Krzysztof Kieslowski. Lorenc's collaboration with Kieslowski continued with the critically acclaimed "Three Colors" trilogy.
