James Pierpont

He became an accomplished musician and later served as an organist for various churches. In 1857, he composed the popular Christmas song "Jingle Bells," originally titled "One Horse Open Sleigh." Initially intended for Thanksgiving, the upbeat tune with catchy lyrics became synonymous with Christmas festivities over time. Pierpont's composition gained immense popularity and has since been covered by numerous artists, making it one of the most recognizable and enduring holiday songs.
