Fredrik Pacius

Fredrik Pacius was a notable Finnish composer, born on March 19, 1809, in Hamburg, Germany, and he passed away on January 8, 1891, in Helsinki, Finland. Known as the "Father of Finnish Music," Pacius made significant contributions to Finnish musical culture during the Romantic era. One of his most enduring achievements is composing the music for the Finnish national anthem, "Maamme" (Our Land), in 1848.
