East Of Underground

East of Underground was a soul/funk musical group formed by American soldiers stationed in Vietnam during the late 1960s. Originally known as The Sensational Cymbals, they changed their name after discovering the uniqueness of their sound. Despite being overseas, they managed to record an album titled "East of Underground: Smiling Faces Sometimes" in 1971, showcasing their remarkable talent. However, due to limited distribution and the end of the Vietnam War, the album received little recognition at the time.
