Dragon Ball GT
Dragon Ball GT is an anime television series and a follow-up to the Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z series. Originally aired in 1996, Dragon Ball GT was produced by Toei Animation and created by Akira Toriyama, the original creator of the Dragon Ball franchise. It serves as a sequel to Dragon Ball Z, continuing the story after the defeat of the main antagonist, Majin Buu. However, Dragon Ball GT is not based on Toriyama's original manga, which led to mixed reviews from fans. The series focuses on Goku, the protagonist, who has been transformed into a child through a wish made by Emperor Pilaf using the Black Star Dragon Balls. Dragon Ball GT features new characters, transformations, and storylines, introducing unique concepts like the Super Saiyan 4 form. While popular among some viewers, Dragon Ball GT didn't achieve the same level of success as its predecessors, leading to the subsequent retcon of its events in the official canon with the release of Dragon Ball Super. Nonetheless, it remains a significant part of the Dragon Ball franchise and continues to have a dedicated fanbase.
