Atlantic Starr is an American R&B band that originated in Greenburgh, New York, in the 1970s. Initially known as Newban, the group went through various lineup changes before settling as Atlantic Starr in 1976. Comprised of members Sharon Bryant, David Lewis, Wayne Lewis, Jonathan Lewis, and Barbara Weathers, they achieved significant success in the 1980s and early 1990s. Atlantic Starr's chart-topping hits include "Always," "Secret Lovers," and "Masterpiece," establishing them as one of the prominent acts of the quiet storm and adult contemporary genres.
