He wrote the infectious hit "Stacy's Mom," which became Fountains of Wayne's biggest hit, reaching the top 20 on the charts. Additionally, Schlesinger was also involved in writing music for films, such as "That Thing You Do!" and Broadway productions like "Cry-Baby." Sadly, he passed away in 2020 due to complications from COVID-19, leaving behind a rich musical legacy and touching the lives of many through his talent and creativity.
