Hey Jude

"Hey Jude" is a song by the Beatles, originally recorded in the key of F major. It was written by Paul McCartney and is one of the band's most popular and enduring songs. The song was composed to console John Lennon's son, Julian, during his parents' divorce. It has a melodic and uplifting chorus that has become iconic, and its length of over seven minutes was deemed unconventional for a single at the time of its release in 1968. A notable live version of the song was performed by McCartney at the 2012 London Olympics Closing Ceremony.
