De Musica Ligera

"Soda Stereo's iconic song 'De Musica Ligera' is played in the key of E major. Released in 1990 as part of their album 'Canción Animal', it became one of the band's most popular tracks. Gustavo Cerati, the vocalist and guitarist of the Argentine rock band, is credited as the composer of this timeless classic. Interestingly, the title of the song was inspired by a combination of Pier Paolo Pasolini's film 'Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom' and a Carlos Gardel tango called 'El Dia Que Me Quieras.' With its catchy and infectious melody, 'De Musica Ligera' showcases Soda Stereo's unique blend of alternative rock and new wave influences, solidifying their status as one of the most influential Latin American bands of all time."
