Love of My Life is a song by Queen from the album A Night at the Opera. It was released as the third single in 1975. The song is in the key of E-flat major and has a tempo of 88 beats per minute. The song uses a simple chord progression of I-V-vi-IV throughout. The song is a sentimental ballad, written by Freddie Mercury for his ex-girlfriend Mary Austin. The song was very popular and was played at nearly every Queen concert. The song was also performed with Paul Rodgers and Kerry Ellis as a tribute to Mercury.
