The queen of the night

The aria commonly known as The Queen of the Night from Mozart's opera The Magic Flute is titled Der Hölle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen and is in the key of D minor. It was composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 1791 as part of the opera Die Zauberflöte. The role of the Queen of the Night was originally performed by Mozart's sister-in-law Josepha Hofer. A trivia point is that this aria is famous for its extremely high vocal range, reaching up to F6, making it one of the most demanding pieces for a coloratura soprano. The melody is fast and aggressive, with dramatic leaps, rapid runs, and orchestral accompaniment emphasizing tension and intensity.
