City of Stars

"City of Stars" is a song from the movie La La Land, performed in the original key of F major. It was composed by Justin Hurwitz and the lyrics were written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. This beautiful piece won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2017. In the film, it is sung as a duet by Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone while they portray aspiring artists in Los Angeles. Interestingly, the melody of "City of Stars" consists of a simple repeating pattern that captures the enchanting and romantic essence of the story.
