"Especially for You" is a pop ballad in the key of G major, performed as a duet by Australian artists Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan. The song was released in 1988 as the lead single from Donovan's debut album "Ten Good Reasons." It was written by British songwriters Stock Aitken Waterman, who were popular during the 1980s. Interestingly, "Especially for You" was originally intended to be a solo track for Kylie Minogue, but it was later changed to a duet with Donovan due to their on-screen chemistry in the TV soap opera "Neighbours," in which they both starred.
