Through The Wire

Through The Wire is a song by the American rapper Kanye West, released in 2003 as the lead single from his debut album, "The College Dropout." The song was performed and composed by West himself, who wrote it while recovering from a near-fatal car accident. It samples Chaka Khan's "Through the Fire" and showcases West's unique production style. In fact, due to his jaw being wired shut following the accident, West recorded the entire song with his mouth wired, giving it a distinct and slightly distorted sound. The melody is characterized by its soulful and introspective tone, blending West's heartfelt lyrics with the infectious and nostalgic sample.
