My Way

The song "My Way" by Frank Sinatra is in the key of D major. It was released in 1969 and became one of Sinatra’s signature songs. The original melody comes from the French song "Comme d’habitude," composed by Claude François and Jacques Revaux. Paul Anka wrote the English lyrics specifically for Sinatra after acquiring the rights to adapt the song. A trivia point is that despite its popularity, Sinatra reportedly grew tired of the song later in his career. The melody features a slow and steady progression with orchestral accompaniment, building in intensity to match the reflective and assertive tone of the lyrics.
