"Salut d'Amour" is a musical piece written by the British composer Edward Elgar in 1888. The original key of the composition is E major. Elgar composed the piece as an engagement present for his fiancée Caroline Alice Roberts. It is a short, romantic work for violin and piano, evoking feelings of tenderness and affection.
