Clair de Lune

Clair de Lune is a musical composition by French composer Claude Debussy. It is part of a larger piano suite called Suite bergamasque and is written in the key of D-flat major. Debussy composed the piece in 1890 but it was not published until 1905. It is believed to have been inspired by a poem of the same name by Paul Verlaine. Although Debussy originally intended to title the piece "Promenade Sentimentale," he later changed it to "Clair de Lune." The song is often performed by pianists, and one notable interpretation was done by French pianist and composer Jacques Février. The melody of Clair de Lune is characterized by its delicate and dreamlike quality, evoking imagery of moonlit scenes. It has become one of Debussy's most popular and recognizable compositions.
