Kassaman

The "National Anthem of Algeria," also known as "Kassaman," is the official anthem of Algeria. Written by Moufdi Zakaria, a prominent Algerian poet and nationalist, the lyrics evoke themes of patriotism, unity, and resistance against colonialism. The original composition is by the Egyptian composer Mohamed Fawzi, with orchestration by the Lebanese-French composer Ahmed Khaled. The anthem's melody is solemn and stirring, accompanied by powerful lyrics that resonate with the nation's struggle for independence and pride in its heritage. Sung in Arabic, "Kassaman" became the national anthem upon Algeria's independence from France in 1962.
