Keane
Keane is an English alternative rock band that formed in 1995. The band's members include Tom Chaplin (lead vocals), Tim Rice-Oxley (piano, keyboards, and backing vocals), Richard Hughes (drums), and Jesse Quin (bass guitar and backing vocals). Known for their melodic, piano-driven sound, Keane gained international success with their debut album "Hopes and Fears" in 2004, which included hits like "Somewhere Only We Know" and "Everybody's Changing". The band continued to release successful albums, such as "Under the Iron Sea" in 2006 and "Perfect Symmetry" in 2008. Keane's music often explores themes of love, loneliness, and self-reflection. They are recognized for their emotionally charged performances and Tom Chaplin's distinctive and powerful vocals. In 2013, Keane announced a hiatus, during which members pursued solo projects. However, the band reunited in 2019 and released their fifth studio album, "Cause and Effect". Keane's discography and passionate fanbase have solidified their status as one of the prominent British bands of the 2000s.
