Gungor
Gungor is an American musical collective formed in 2006 by husband and wife duo Michael and Lisa Gungor. Known for their genre-spanning sound, the band initially gained recognition in the Christian music scene for their worship music. However, their music has evolved over time to incorporate elements of rock, folk, electronica, and experimental sounds. Gungor's discography includes several well-received albums, such as "Beautiful Things" (2010) and "I Am Mountain" (2013), which received a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album. In 2014, the band made headlines with their release of the controversial album "One Wild Life: Spirit," exploring more spiritual and secular themes. Besides their musical endeavors, Gungor is active in advocating for various social justice issues, embracing an inclusive and compassionate approach. They have garnered a dedicated fanbase for their thought-provoking lyrics and innovative approach to music creation.
