Ghost
Ghost is a Swedish rock band formed in Linköping in 2006. The group's unique blend of heavy metal, hard rock, and pop hooks, combined with their theatrical stage presence, has garnered them a dedicated fanbase and critical acclaim. Fronted by the lead singer, known as Papa Emeritus or Cardinal Copia, the band is known for their distinctive appearance, wearing elaborate masks and adopting an anti-pope persona. Despite their mysterious image, Ghost's founder, Tobias Forge, is publicly known as the mastermind behind the band, writing and producing all the music. They gained international recognition with their debut album "Opus Eponymous" in 2010, followed by albums like "Infestissumam," which won the Swedish Grammis award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Album. Notably, Ghost achieved mainstream success with their fourth album, "Prequelle," which reached the top three on the US Billboard 200 chart and featured the Grammy-winning single "Cirice." Over the years, the band has toured extensively, headlining sold-out shows and festivals worldwide, highlighting their engaging and visually stunning live performances. With their unique blend of hard rock and theatrical elements, Ghost continues to captivate audiences while maintaining an air of enigma.
